I use the Burbage Common on a daily basis for walking, dog walking and consider it a free of charge leisure activity. It is a beautiful, green open space teaming with wildlife and used by thousands of people of all ages who are local or travel from out of the area to enjoy this resource. There is no other area like it locally. If the space is taken away it will destroy the habitat for the wildlife and impact the people that currently use it with a potential to affect their physical and mental health. The long term implications of this has to be considered. Furthermore people living in this area will suffer the added intrusion of more traffic, pollution and noise to an area that is already burdened with the number of vehicles travelling through the area.
