The massive increase in house building in and around Hinckley coupled with a similar situation in nearby Nuneaton, has resulted in much greater congestion on the main arterial roads. This has a very detrimental impact to the pollution within the environment due to standing and slow moving traffic, together with ever increasing travelling delays and the associated high cost and anti-green nature, of fuel wastage. The addition of heavy goods vehiclesd travelling to and from the new freight interchange will massivley exacerbate the already overloaded road network and cause even more pollution and delays.
