I don't see a compelling case for this development. The development would remove a significant area used by the public for leisure. In addition, for those already utilising this facility, the same numbers being squashed into a significantly smaller area will have a negative effect there. I suspect that, being in a flood plain, the knock-on effect on the surrounding areas would be adverse. As far as jobs are concerned, I doubt that such a development would actually benefit local people.
