As someone who has lived in Burbage for the last 20 years and loves being surrounded by the amazing countryside, I am upset to see a lot of it disappearing due to the rich wanting to be richer!! This infrastructure will NOT be of any use to the people of the surrounding areas. All it will do is cause traffic destruction and noise. The roads are terrible around Burbage/Hinckley/Elmsthorpe etc as it is without more traffic causing problems. It will also remove more countryside forcing wildlife further into the surrounding towns for food and shelter. What about Burbage woods? the nice peaceful walks through there will just be disturbed by the railway freight 24/7. This project has no pros at all for it. Constant noise pollution, heavier traffic and construction disturbance is a big, fat no for me.
