I object to the siting of the rail freight terminal as Hinckley and the surrounding areas already have more warehouse facilities than the roads can accommodate. During rush hour a journey that should take just 10 minutes takes almost 40 due to congestion, mostly HGVs. The A5 here is not suitable for such heavy traffic. Already our countryside is polluted by the HGVs on passing roads, both fumes and noise. Burbage common is a small haven for a little peace away from traffic. It is also a haven for wildlife. Noise from a rail freight terminal will spoil the whole nature of the site. Making us all turn to our cars to travel further afield for a peaceful walk.
