My concerns for this proposal cover a number of points 1 The affects it will have on habitat loss. 2 Disturbance of wildlife on Burbage common 3 I see no strong link between this plan and the government, Office for Science, Foresight document ‘Understanding the UK Freight Transport System. 4 Similar NRFT’s have not performed as envisaged in terms of reducing road transport and increasing the rail freight time and have degraded to perform more akin to distribution centres where freight is simply transferred from truck to truck after a short or long period of storage. 5 The Hinckley area and surrounding villages have experienced a large growth in housing with scant attention paid to improving the infrastructure in accordance with the increase in road traffic. This proposal will further exacerbate the problem.
