I am extremely concerned about the increased volume of HGV vehicles that will be using the A47 to reach the A5 or M69. This Road only has one pathway with a cycle path and is used from early morning to night by people walking dogs, cyclists, walkers and running and also young children and teenagers. I believe this new freight hub will generate minimal new jobs - but will create increased risk to pedestrians on the pathway. With a fatality or serious accident just waiting to happen!!! It will discourage people from using the route by foot or bike and these people will return to cars. In a world where we are trying to improve the environment and reduce pollution - this is a definite step in the wrong direction!!!
