Having viewed the previous proposal and being disappointed about the lack of detail allowing me to make an informed opinion, I am registering my interest to view the new proposal. There is currently insufficient infrastructure to support this, we already have many lorries using Leicester road as a cut through from the A5 or A47 to the M69 and A5 avoiding the low bridges, this will significantly increase the number of vehicles, congestion, supply chain issues and pollution. The A5 towards Tamworth is already a nightmare at key times of the day, Hinckley will simply become gridlocked. The previous plans had not considered future technology such as electric vehicles, recycling water or considered sustainability. The plans did not have accurate photos of how this will impact the area, did not show the impact of night light pollution, height of the buildings or give accurate data regarding noise pollution. There was also NO businesses signed up to warehousing space here, the proposal was simply if it is built, people will come, yet they are referring to outdated business models based on bulk buying and keeping stock/ money tied up in warehousing. Businesses are moving on from this. This potentially will be built and then become commercially unviable and abandoned, leaving Hinckley with a huge blot on the landscape and no going back to the nature and fields that are currently there.
