Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange

The proposed HNRFI would form a large-scale new rail freight interchange on land just outside the boundary of Hinckley Borough, next to Burbage Common. Proposals include logistics and warehousing, which would total up to 850,000 square metres of new floorspace, and some highway improvements, which are within Hinckley and would affect numerous roads in the area. The town cannot sustain this type of additional traffic and does not have the infrastructure. This will also ruin the countryside, with additional noise and pollution.
