I am 44 years old and have a small holding with my husband on burbage common road elmesthorpe where we have horses donkeys sheep chickens and ducks with a large pond with fish. The property is on the boundary of the proposed terminal planned development. We are against this proposed development as it will destroy the existing wildlife and acess to the burbage common birdleways which I ride my horse down. Visual impact of the terminal will destroy the whole area which will be a blot on the landscape and seen for miles around, no account taken for the polution with extra trains lorries and cars being concentrated in this small area. We are concerned that the ditch behind our pond is the outlet for all the fields, so this new proposed development could cause flooding. The only access to the ditch is either from the trainline bank or coming across our land. As we have planted trees and hedges this is not a viable option as it could cause damage.
