My main concerns are the negative impact on the local area this unnecessary warehouse development will bring. We all know the rail element is a white elephant to achieve SRFI status. This development will put more traffic on local roads and create more pollution and congestion in the local towns and villages. This will have the opposite effect of what these sites are supposed to achieve. The traffic problems in the local area are already at breaking point at certain times. It will also have a major negative impact on Burbage Common which is one of the last remaining natural green spaces in or near Hinckley. Our green spaces are vital to the future generations and need protecting from constant speculative developments. The public consultation events run by Tritax were woefully inadequate and failed to give any meaningful answers to the many concerns of local people.
