This project would have a significant detrimental effect on both the local environment and local road network, impacting all residents within the surrounding area. The proposed site will adjoin Burbage Common and Woods which is a site of special scientific interest. Noise and air pollution from the site itself will impact resident wildlife and any visitors to this busy park. The proposed site will significantly increase the volume of HGV traffic in the area, again producing additional noise and air pollution whilst in transit through and congesting further a local road network already difficult at peak times. There are already two SRFIs and a logistics park close to the site, and 7 rail interchanges within 40 miles of Elmesthorpe. This site proposal cannot be justified.
