I have concerns about the increase in vehicle movements in the surrounding area. If it was to go ahead, a link road from Earl Shilton A47 would be essential, however this will have a detrimental impact on the local green spaces, particularly Burbage Common. The M69 South slip roads would need to be opened before any works are carried out as the local area cannot support the volume of traffic. Where is the intended workforce meant to come from? More housing on greenbelt land? Why is DIRFT not sufficient? It is situated far from habitation in a specific industrial area. The new proposal impacts too closely to local residents.
