The effect of the proposed development on the local area will be devastating to both the local residents and the wider community never mind the damage to wildlife and the natural environment. I have seen no evidence that there is a need for the development in terms of the jobs it will offer. There is no requirement in the area for more jobs in this type of work- many distribution warehouses are unable to fill the vacancies they have. The pressure on the roads around the development would be phenomenal. My family already are too afraid to walk along through the village of Elmesthorpe because of the volume of traffic. The road is dangerous for pedestrians now so I can imagine it would become a no go area if the development were to go ahead. Having watched the site of Magna Park grow exponentially it would seen to be far more beneficial to have a rail terminal built there. I have seen no evidence that the development would be of any benefit to anyone apart from the developers.
