I live in Stoney Stanton on Underwood Drive. I am a Cub Scout Leader and a member of various local groups, as well as Chair of the Stoney Stanton Parish Council and District Councillor for Fosse Stoney Cove. It is my view that this application should be refused. My main area of concern is the site selection process and the location of the proposed development. Stoney Stanton is a settlement in the Fosse Villages, a unique collection of communities with a distinct history. My concerns focus on the impact the development will have on quality of life of the residents (air quality, noise, light pollution), and the character and quintessential nature of the Fosse Villages, predominantly Elmesthorpe, Stoney Stanton and Sapcote. Further areas of significant concern focus on the highways (traffic through the villages, M69 J2, and M1 J21) as well as environmental and ecological factors.
