I live in the village of Sapcote. I am concerned about the impact that this proposed infrastructure will have on not just my village but the surrounding ones, and the local environment. I do not believe there is a need for another infrastructure like this when many similar ones already exist in the area within a small radius. I am concerned about the potential for traffic going through Sapcote to significantly increase should a new south-facing slip road be built on J2 of the M69, if no new roads are constructed to provide a diversion. I have seen lorries attempt to drive through Sapcote, particularly where the chicane by the Co-op is located, and it is frankly dangerous. I also do not want to see the destruction of nearby countryside, and the final images for the proposals do not even take into consideration or include the proposed new settlement for the land west of Stoney Stanton, right on the opposite side of the M69 from where the HNRFI is proposed. This will overall have a significantly negative impact on the area, especially when the need for employment is actually very low and it was anticipated by the developers that the majority of employees will actually come from outside the area.
