I am very unhappy about this proposed project. I feel a project of this size will affect the nature of the friendly rural district in which I presently reside. I moved to this area some 8 years ago with my husband and daughter. My husband was [redacted] at this time. I found here that services were almost immediately available to assist myself and my family and enabled my husband to attend a local amenity run by Age UK which supported both him and my family and allowed us to have a local GP practice which at that time was practical in that [redacted] meant we could be attended to without delay. We moved to this area to escape the devolopment that has overtaken our previous place of habitation in Tamworth and now we find that a huge development is proposed to envelop a very friendly small town with beautiful countryside walks with is safe for all ages and all kinds of activity with amenities which are easy to access and local towns which which are served by public transport if we need it to access not just food supplies but a very nice local market. It seems that the development will mean that access roads close to where we live will be used to allow travel to the rail hub. These access roads will involve at least two small schools which are already the subject of much congestion and will mean that we are subject to additional noise and pollution plus limit our ability to access services that we need and our enjoyment of the countryside will almost certainly be curtailed by this huge development plus medical services are already limited and this will not change even with the proposal of another GP Practice which will be used by the residents of the proposed 500 new residences with further retail development which is not needed since Earl Shilton shops are already feeling pressure not just from the economy but also local towns and I trust you will think carefully about what this will mean to a small rural town.
