There are estimated to be 32 trains daily coming and going resulting in an extra HGV per minute on the roads round Burbage. This will cause unacceptable levels of pollution, noise and road congestion. I live off Lutterworth Road which is the escape route to the A5 and used when other problems mean other routes are unable to be used. Already Burbage is a daily traffic jam without this extra 1440 plus approx HGV’s. There will be thousands of extra employees and their families and business contacts needing a huge increase in all facilities, medical etc. Despite any plan to create a new road from the site there will be a huge increase in traffic pollution and noise as it won’t be sufficient to take away all the extra loads, and if there is an accident on this new road it will be funnelled through Burbage, especially if it’s aiming to or from the A5. It is unlikely I will be able to exit or enter my own driveway safely due to extreme traffic on Lutterworth road. The extreme pollution, and noise are unacceptable health hazards. The existing Parking on the roads in Burbage will further add to this misery of a traffic jam. Burbage Common will be spoiled as noise and air pollution will be very high here, it will become unattractive due to the site buildings and wildlife will suffer badly as will people who use the Common for recreational activities which I do.
