  • 9,000 HGV's + employee vehicles & all the negative effects that come with them, including air & noise pollution & the increased accident risk. - 16 cargo trains per day, approx. 32 movements per day, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, each potentially up to 775m in length & all the detrimental effects that come with them, including, vibrations, air & noise pollution. All going through Burbage common woods, housing areas & fields. - The destruction of approx. 830 acres of fields, hedgerow, trees, wildlife habitats & footpaths. To be replaced by, steel, concrete, tarmac, massive gantry cranes & machinery & a few acres of parkland. - The ecological balance to the local and wider area, could be devastated. - Concerns of negative effects on public health & mental wellbeing, due to increased air pollution, as well as disrupted day to day lives & interrupted sleep due to the noise & vibration pollution, from the freight trains & the main interchange development. - Considerable increase in general traffic using local roads, due to proposed changes to road & motorway network & the increased accident risk - Increased high levels of light, air & noise pollution - Narborough level crossing - impact on highways, the landscape & locals, including the extra barrier down time at Narborough Level Crossing, its effects on both traffic congestion and air quality, noise & vibrations for residents. - Increased possibility of damage to houses, buildings & land in the areas along the rail track from vibrations of the container freight trains. - Not required as there are other logistics hubs in the area, including RFI DIRFT Northamptonshire & Magna Park UK and Europe’s largest dedicated logistics and distribution park at Lutterworth - The initial public consultation being inadequate - Concerns that several of the above would have a detrimental impact & affect my family & myself in our everyday lives & wellbeing.
