This application will negatively affect the local area by increasing traffic on the surrounding highway network. These roads are to capacity and will be unable to handle additional traffic. Furthermore, the development will cause irreparable damage to the environment and biodiversity. Employment is at record lows, due to low skilled required to man what are in effect cavernous sheds, the development will add no value regarding creation of local jobs. The application is so large it will mean green belt surrounding towns/villages will be lost e.g the development will encroach right to the edge of elmsthorpe, meaning the village effectively becomes a suburb of the larger settlement (it will merge all the surrounding settlements into one sprawling development).
