Thank you for your telephone query on 11 August 2011, in regard to land that can be 'witheld' for Compulsory Acquisition Purposes; I have the following information for you:

Annex 1 of the 'guidance on associated development' document hyperlinked below details different types of 'special land' that are given protection against compulsory acquisition. This is also detailed under Sections 128-132 of the Planning Act 2008:
