Paula Craig, a researcher at Queens University Belfast, wrote to us to ask for some general information about the role of the IPC and the process by which policy was formed.

We explained the background to the IPC and the role of Commissioners, but also that we do not produce policy and directed Ms Craig to the relevant department for further information; in this case, DECC.
