On behalf of MGT Power Limited, and MGT Projects Limited (formerly MGT Tyne Limited), and as a company director of both, I am writing to withdraw the Tyne Biomass Plant from the planning system, as the project is no longer being pursued following a recent announcement by the Department of Energy and Climate Change regarding a cap of 400 MW on new biomass plants to be supported under the Renewables Obligation. Please let me know if there are any further steps required to complete the formal withdrawal, and if not, please remove the project from your website.

Thank you for informing the Planning Inspectorate that that MGT Power Limited, and MGT Projects Limited have withdrawn the Tyne Biomass Plant proposal, we will update our relevant project webpage accordingly.
