The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero has decided to extend the statutory deadline for this application to 10 May 2024. A statement confirming the new deadline for the decision has been made to the House of Commons and House of Lords, in accordance with section 107(7) of the Planning Act 2008.

The Report on the Implications for European Sites (RIES) (PDF, 597KB) has been published. All parties are welcome to comment by Deadline 8, Friday 28 April 2023. The Examining Authority (ExA) would welcome responses to the questions posed to Environment Agency, Natural England and the Applicant.

The Schedule of ExA's recommended amendments to the Applicant's draft Development Consent Order (DCO) (PDF, 236KB) has also been published. All parties are welcome to comment by Deadline 8, Friday 28 April 2023.

Written summaries of oral submissions put at these Hearings are due for Deadline 6 - 20 March 2023.

The time reserved for Compulsory Acquisition Hearing 1 (CAH1) day 2 on Thursday 9 March 2023 is no longer required and has therefore been cancelled. This is due to the conclusion of agenda items during CAH1 day 1 on Wednesday 8 March 2023.
