One of the main reasons our customers visit our touring caravan site is for a peaceful quiet time and have lovely walks/ bike rides in our beautiful countryside and to enjoy the wildlife habitat. They, as do we, do not want to walk across fields or cycle around the area what will look like a prison with high fences and 3.5-meter panels around the fields. Also there will be a destruction of the wildlife habitat in our area. The noise from the amount of additional traffic for the construction of the solar plant on the B1228 passing [Redacted] will and already has stopped people from wanting to stay at our Touring Caravan Park. We have lost so many customers this year most commenting that we are no longer a peaceful tranquil site due to the noise of the traffic. The state of the B1228 road outside our home is dreadful with the lorry’s hitting the repaired road. The banging vibrations shake the pictures on our walls and have caused to crack. The current repaired road has not alleviated this problem. Is there not a more permanent repair that could be done instead of the botch jobs that are currently performed on the road outside [Redacted]? Other counties police force has noticed an increase in crime rates as they are frequently targeted for the theft of solar panels on their plants. We do not want to encourage crime into this beautiful part of Yorkshire. We are of the opinion that Howden has contributed its fair share for the planet. We now have wind farms and AD plants dominating the area. We categorically disagree with the comment made by Jack Spurway Head of Planning for Boom Power in the media that the plant will have minimal impact on the environment and people living in the area. We ask that you allow the people of all the villages impacted by this solar plant to decide if they would like the plant to go ahead or not and respect the outcome of the people’s decision.
