Solar panels should be sourced from Britain (a factory in Wales makes them with a 25 yr guarantee) or from Europe, not from China as their materials and steels are inferior. Guarantees must be obtained that the cable supplying the electricity to the national grid at Drax is under ground before planning approval. Guarantees must be obtained that whoever takes over the operation of the solar farm has a signed contract and market for the power. This is to avoid derelict projects like the Hendy Wind farm in Powys.
