The proposed development will destroy, indefinitely, the productive farmland on which it would be constructed. This country needs all the farmland it can muster. Why is it even being considered as a site for solar power?! It is also a very large, and surprisingly tall development, and would overwhelm several villages, almost surrounding some. It would have a very negative impact upon property values throughout the area; and despite the claims of the developers would adversely affect the entire local rural ecosystem. It is notable that this proposal is located within an area with a relatively low population density - so no matter how vocal the community becomes, the numbers will seem relatively small compared to the objections that would be made should the development be situated in a more populous area. Dirty tactics! What I would like to know is why these developments are not placed on brownfield sites - or better yet, on the roofs of very large buildings, such as warehouses. The roof space available nationally must be enormous, and way more than sufficient to supply green energy to fulfill the requirements of the nation indefinitely.
