BOOM claims to be a UK company, however Boom is registered to one British Director Mark Hogan at his UK address plus 2 German Directors resident in Germany (one has recently resigned) and one Italian Director. This is not a 100% UK company although registered here. As BOOM is only the installation company, are their objectives purely financially motivated under the banner of the UK government's Green Initiative? Once the East Yorkshire Solar Farm has been installed by BOOM I understand they will hand over to another management authority or company. Who will this be? How will there be assurance that operational details will be facilitated as per. approved planning i.e. ongoing inspection of same? Who will maintain the proposed Wetland Wildlife Zone? Who will inspect, manage and maintain the proposed arborial areas? Who will take responsibility and accountability for these? How & when will the public be updated on this management information? Currently wild deer, hares, foxes etc roam the area with open access, which will be impeded by 2.2m high fences surrounding the solar panel fields. How does this square with the promise to:'restore the abundance of nature by rewilding' [UK Gov 'Ten Point Plan' published 2020]? BOOM claim that grass and flora will thrive within the SF fields. How will the photosynthesis process be enabled and encouraged in the shadow of the photovoltaic solar panels? This seems highly unlikely. As the first solar farm (Larks Green) was connected to the National Grid only last year in May 2023 there is no long-term data available to refute any of the claims made by BOOM of the non-negative impact on flora and fauna. These need to be protected even if the proposed SF fields are not designated SSIs to ensure eco-systems, food chains and natural wildlife continue to thrive. We were informed at the last BOOM consultation that solar panels for EYSF will be supplied from China and therefore will not have a 'green footprint'. How does BOOM explain the choice of Chinese solar panels over those supplied by UK Sol Ltd or GB-Sol Ltd? Will the 100 field stations around the solar farm emit a humming noise or audible vibration? How will this impact residents whose homes are near these and any wildlife trying to inhabit the area? High fences and hedges around EYFS will impede the view of the lovely open natural landscape.
