It will turn prime agricultural land into an industrial estate, some of the best wheat growing farm land in the UK. It will have a negative effect on wildlife and ecosystems. It will also have a huge effect on the economy, because the farm land is no longer farm land it will mean that those such as myself and my family who work in the agricultural sector (livery yards will have no where for clients to hack out, agricultural Engineers and farming contractors will also suffer with lack of custom if the land is no longer used for farming). It also makes no sense at all that these panels aren't being put on building roof tops. As someone who has solar panels on my roof, I can tell you that they produce barely anything during the winter months.
