The access point through the hamlet of Newsholme is unfit for HGV traffic, the access roads in the village are designated compulsory non-HGV traffic by the highways agency. The proposed access/egress turning circumference is not wide enough to support turning lorries. Moving the electricity lines to provide a wider access is a costly waste when the access to the site could be routed off the A63, this would negate any impact on the hamlet. I also live and work from home adjacent to the access route and proposed site, the noise and vibration during the construction period will negatively impact on my quality of life. The open agricultural land between Newsholme and Brind is a haven for wildlife, which have the freedom to roam. The proposed fencing around the site will detrimentally impact local wildlife, feeding routes and breeding grounds. There will be considerable detrimental impact to the semi-rural aspects to the area, the appropriation and reclassification of hectares of agricultural land into industrial. There are other substantial building projects in the pipeline, has anyone considered the impact to the quality of life of residents, and the economic impact of turning the area into an industrial eyesore? • A proposed 2,000+ homes to be built in North Howden • 1,173 hectare solar farm in Camella Lane, Camblesforth • 1,873 hectare solar farm in west of Camblesforth and north of Hirst Courtney
