Iv previously lived in Foggathorpe, and i regulary Visit. I am against the Solar Farm plans, i believe it will bring great disruption to the surrounding villages where the farm will be. The roads are not capable of handling such large traffic, machinery and lorries. I also believe it will be appealing to those who may want to steal precious metals/equipment from these farms, upping the crime rate and causing more distress. Foggathorpe/Gribthorpe and surrounding villages are a tranquil and quite place with fields for miles around, home to an array of wild animals and insects, this will disrupt them, or cause great stress. People visit to see the wonderful nature in these areas and the Solar farm will take that away. Due to the nature of all these reasons i also believe this will have a massive affect on the residents that already live there, causing mental health issues. I have friends that live in the surrounding villages that will be impacted and i can already see their mental health is already being affected. Furthermore, 40+ years is not a “temporary” this will have permanent damage on the area, which is not temporary.
