I am extremely worried that this will be the start of many similar projects in this area. East Yorkshire is flat and we are close to Drax. It makes this area perfect for solar and wind farms. If this planning is granted it sets a precedent. This will be the end of the countryside for miles and miles around. Energy companies will just target the area - which is all used to grow crops. We need food security as well as energy security. I am not a “nimby” I am not physically close enough but I am terrified that this is yet another massive company with plenty of money to spend just [REDACTED] the British countryside, reducing growing room and damaging eco systems. There are a significant number of wildlife preserves around here due to the low level of the land and it’s all going to be destroyed- there are already massive building works 5000 houses and all the infrastructure that goes with that in Howden, a huge fertiliser factory, again in Howden and thousands of houses in nearby Goole. It’s horrendous.
