I wish to object to the proposed solar farm development, the sheer size and scale of this proposal will most definitely have a detrimental impact on the whole area and communities surrounding the proposed site. The public consultation process is flawed. I have only heard about the proposed development via residents in other areas. Information too and contact with the public from the applicant has been extremely sparse and when a public meeting has been announced it has been at very short notice. It has been brought to my attention that only the applicants findings/report will be taken in the consideration of this planning application, surely independent reports need to be commissioned for the planning inspectorate to base their decisions on. There have been no valid answers given from the applicant. A response from one of their representatives stated that there was no biodiversity in the area of the proposed site. I'm not sure where they were looking when they supposedly surveyed the area. Concerns: ( The list below is by no means exhaustive) *Decimation of a vast area of food producing land, especially considering the precarious world food security and self sufficiency. *Devastation of the existing wildlife and countryside *Severe compromise on the road network in the area that is already under huge pressure *Even greater impact on drainage as surrounding flood plains are already being eroded away with over development *Large amount of light and noise pollution 24/7 *Bring crime into the area, existing solar farms are already being targeted *Consequences of both physical and mental impact to the people in the community *Loss of livelihoods *Pollution There will be very little benefit to the surrounding communities from this proposed development, they will loose a lot due to the proposed development, all for the power for commercial use.
