Currently the infrastructure that is in place and that is being proposed is not sufficient. We currently have a build up of car parking companies who use Road as a race track. Gatwick have no interest in working with communities but seem just to do as they please. If this is approved it will just carry on, they need to be held to account. I am a resident of charlwood village This current expansion is being mis sold in the Media and believe there should be some honestly on the table. Gatwick continuously does not seem to want discuss plans with local people. This was seen when they sent their representative to hand brochures out who has no idea about the expansion and was not able answer questions. I understand that there is a plus for employment but why in an area that has the lowest employment in the country this does not out way the environmental impacts. As has been seen with your own committee who informs your judgement, you can surely not go against what you have been informed. If these plans are put through they will not only have a devastating impact on the environment but also the local community. This will have no positive impact on the local area or any of people who currently live in it. Every local council has come out against these current plans. What is the point in democracy if the people aren’t listened to and big business can do what they want.
