Gatwick Airport is an economic powerhouse within the South East and approval of this Northern Runway will provide massive benefits for the region. The impact on economies across the local authorities in the region will be huge, the provision of jobs as a direct result of the expansion will have a positive impact across most, if not all, of the local authorities and Gatwick has an opportunity to take the lead on ESG issues that will also impact the whole region.
