I am totally opposed to expansion at Gatwick. With global warming evident, more traffic at Gatwick in the air and on the road will make climate change even worse. Gatwick brings misery to residents far and wide in large areas on Sussex, Surrey and Kent with continuous noise. It has a large impact on the sensitive Ashdown forest which is SSSI and Special Protected Area by bringing overhead noise, pollution and also increased traffic levels to and from the airport. This is a rebuild of the emergency runway and is a major building project as the main runway and the emergency runway are too close to use concurrently. This must not be allowed to go ahead as it will bring huge environmental damage to surrounding areas. I do not know anyone who supports this environmental catastrophe that Gatwick wants to bring on local people.
