I oppose a second runway at Gatwick. It is a disgrace it is even being considered by the authorities. The reasons are obvious and too numerous to mention here. The proposed second runway at Gatwick Airport is unacceptable and should be refused because: 1. It would enlarge the airport beyond acceptable limits. 2. The surrounding locality is already too full and incapable of accepting development of the size and nature that would result. 3. The resulting noise, pollution and environmental impact including from and by aircraft would be unacceptable and contrary to climate change policies. 4. The existing infrastructure in the locality and indeed the south east could not accommodate a development of the size and nature proposed. 5. The concept is ill conceived, unnecessary, gives no thought to those living in the locality and must be refused.
