Planes taking off from Gatwick have been more obtrusive this year than previously, particularly from about 5.30am until 8.0, and again late evenings, sometimes until at least 12.30am. It’s bad enough now, what on earth would it be like with a second runway and many more planes taking off? I object to the Gatwick expansion plan for several reasons: - Capel is under the current flight path, and noticeably more plane movements this year from early morning (5.30am) and late evening (until at least 12.30am). Any more would make life unbearable. - Devaluation of value of property - will Gatwick compensate us? I doubt it. - Roads quite busy enough now. Expansion would lead to much more traffic on roads leading to Gatwick. - Pollution from increased aircraft and road traffic leading to health impact on surrounding villages.
