The impact of any expansion to Gatwick Airport will be TERRIBLE for local residents, We have too much plane noise - including early mornings - already and the impact of a major increase in air traffic on local roads, rail and air quality doesn't bear thinking about. I am APPALLED about the prospect of Gatwick expanding further, whether by openly building a new terminal of by the back-door method of "converting" an emergency runway. The consequences on our quality of life in the surrounding area will be appalling.
