The need to reduce pollution from planes and the associated infrastructure that supports passenger movements to/ from the airport. Increased vehicles is not the answer whilst rail infrastructure helps more is needed before expansion occurs eg direct train link to Heathrow. The practice of charging for passenger drop offs to be stopped. Passengers should not be charged when Gatwick provides no compensation to passengers when airport infrastructure issues cause flight delays. Noise enforcement policies and stiff penalties need to be applied ie relying on future improved engine performance is not by itself acceptable. Use of non compliant planes to incur significant additional costs. The nature of new jobs to be defined and to provide improved salaries and bonuses for those who work at Gatwick ie some form equity sharing to be introduced. For passenger pick up improved scheduling for passengers passing through airport: baggage reclaim/ immigration times to be better defined such that excessive parking fees are reduced.
