We already experience an increased noise level due to the changes in the flight path in recent years, whereas when we first bought our property in 2017, planes were much higher in altitude, they now fly directly over our house, which causes sleep disturbance (the first flights depart at 04:00) and impacts our wellbeing. Opening a second runway will only increase the number of flights and therefore increase the noise pollution. Due to this, we are also concerned on the impact of being able to sell our property in the future and the value of it. Whilst Gatwick state that any works will only be carried out within the boundaries of the existing airport, there will be an increase in the number HGV's going in and out of the airport and surrounding roads which are already congested and in a poor state of repair, this will only exasperate the issue. In addition to this, with the increased number of passengers expected, there will be additional traffic and pollution due to more vehicles travelling to and from the airport going forward. Add to this the increased number of flights, this combined can only have an detrimental impact on air pollution in our green area of Surrey and Sussex and also on climate change. We already have days where there is a strong smell of aviation fuel, surely this will increase which cannot be good for public health
