I live in Charlwood and so this will have an enormous detrimental impact on me and my family. We moved here knowing that the airport would cause some minimal noise however, the beautiful area, schools and community drew us here. The new plans for Gatwick is not what I signed up for. Increased noise, pollution and traffic will have an impact on our health, sleep and inevitably house price. The surrounding area is peaceful and green with an amazing community feel. Introducing 77 MILLION PEOPLE will be catastrophic for the locals who have already had to put up with so much. Our local rivers are already polluted to the extent our fish are dying, [Redacted] and we have seen a huge increase in crime in recent months. This will not bring any benefit to locals and families like ours. This is an excuse to gain more profit for huge companies that will not be affected negatively like us. I’m horrified this is even being considered.
