Would it be possible or agreeable for the take-offs from the northern runway be for flights that are north-west, north or north-east bound and flights that are south-west, south and south easy bound to take off from the main runway so there would be less need for planes that take off facing the east to need to turn around to head west. This could mean less noise pollution. Another concern is the ratio of take offs to landings. If there are double the landings it could result in the roads and surrounding infrastructure to take on more traffic as well as the supposed 14k additional jobs. As of December 2022 Gatwick served 32.8 million passengers. The forecast of 75 million passengers being served by late 2030s, would surely make it difficult to tolerate the constant flights, it's also important not to have too many flights in the very early morning when people are trying to sleep in the towns. From what was available of the proposed plans, difficult to imagine the airport being able to comfortably deal with such a large increase of people visiting and using the airport, as well as the need for more parking when there doesn't seem to currently be enough parking as is. Many people are parking in towns and streets in nearby towns then getting a taxi into the airport drop-off. During the busier hours like in the afternoon, opening the proposed runway for use for a window of 4 or 6 hours at a sociable time might make it look more attractive.
