Whilst broadly supporting the application and the economic benefits for the region and the local community. I do have concerns over the additional traffic coming into the area. My main concern relates to all the cabs that park in and around Horley / Charlwood . Particularly in the Povey Cross Road area. The behavior of the drivers who regularly drop litter and throw bottle full of urine onto the roadside has a detrimental impact on local residents and the environment. At present local residents do litter picks to try and deal with this issue. But any additional traffic will add to the problem. Can Gatwick look at how they can resolve the issue / or mitigate it . Either through providing some sort of holding area for cabs, with toilet facilities which they cab drivers are aware of and use, or funding enforcement by the council. The issue arises as a direct result of the airport and therefore they need to be part of any solution.
