The government spent a long time carrying out a consultation to decide whether Heathrow or Gatwick should have a second runway. They decided it should be Heathrow. Gatwick are now trying to get a second runway by the back door by trying to use their emergency runway. We are endlessly told about the climate emergency but Gatwick wants to continue to increase air travel and this should not be allowed
