Gatwick recently leafleted everyone in our road claiming that the proposed development at Gatwick will be good for everyone. This is clearly very far from the truth. Not only is there the increase in noise and congestion in the area, but the greenhouse gas emissions caused by flying are significant, and this affects everyone and every species in the world negatively. And personally, although we are living some distance from Gatwick we are bothered by increasing noise and disturbance from aircraft flying overhead. Extra runway space will make this more or a problem.
