I believe the road infrastructure around the airport is not suitable for a significant increase in the number of vehicles a second runaway would attract. I live in a small village which is already affected when the m23 or m25 are busy as traffic looks for shortcuts to avoid them. This is often already and this will make matters even worse. The m25 is often gridlocked as it is overused and this will make it worse. Public transport around here is not good but this is also disrupted when traffic is heavy affecting day to day life in the villages. Many cars already shortcut through the villages to get to the airport an increase in this will be intolerable. Our roads are narrow and become congested already so extra traffic will impact heavily on the day to day life of villagers. I believe Hateick has reached capacity and with us all being encouraged to be more eco friendly the last thing this congested corner of the country is more congestion, increased traffic and more pollution - all of which will happen if this goes ahead.
