As a resident that has been inflicted for over 9 years by Gatwick Noise and pollution I must object to any expansion at this airport. Since 2014 the impact of Gatwick to my local and surrounding communities has been substantial, noise 24/7 365 days per year, plus the invisible pollution, lower, more frequent and more concentrated flightpaths, devaluation of properties etc. The proposed change of use of an Emergency runway is ludicrous and is purely a commercial exercise to increase shareholder profits at the expense of neighbouring communities and public welfare. Much research has been carried out confirming the negative effects of concentrated aircraft noise on health, giving Gatwick the green light to increase flyovers in what is already an intolerable situation is not acceptable to our communities.Gatwick have also failed at all counts to prove the can operate within the Governments Net Zero Targets. THIS APPLICATION MUST BE REJECTED!
