The NEZ are supportive of plans to allow dual runway operations at Gatwick airport owing to the positive impacts it will have for the sub region, including Newhaven. We are particularly keen to see an increased resilience around air traffic, bringing visitors and business footfall to the region, but also the creation of jobs for the region during the construction phase, but also the business growth expansion will allow.
