I strongly object to this proposal. This will not help the UK meet its net-zero targets which are vital if we as a global community are to limit the impact of climate change. We should be seeking to curb heavily polluting industries such as aviation, not encouraging their growth and expansion. On a personal level, this will also have a significant detrimental impact on the noise and air pollution we suffer being immediately below the flight path. This is unacceptable.
